Who can resist Gnomes? As you can tell they are favorites of mine. I have reversed all of the templates for easy fusible applique.
The patches will match the pictures once you have fused them to fabric.
I find pre-assembling my applique patches on a Teflon sheet to be very helpful. Easy to make sure you have that little bit of overlap, and so nice not to have to fidget with little bits as you iron to the base block.
When stitching your applique down, try using a tear away stabilizer. That will get rid of any bunching troubles you may have. Flattened coffee filters and deli sandwich wrap both work rather nicely for this.
